Projects involving decision support systems - managerial reporting development, integration, and automation; data mining and transformation.

Working with management information systems (MIS) environments serving in technical and business analyst roles since 1996; database systems management (certified), business systems integration, decision support, and web applications. Assignment through VMC (Volt) serving the Microsoft Corporate Compliance Training Group with ETL automation (SSIS), reporting development, Sharepoint site administration, workflow analysis, and documentation.

Contract through Volt; designed and implemented 22 mission-critical, bi-directional reports for PSE's Mobile Workforce group. Involved complex formulas in Crystal syntax to interface with custom CGI application. Databases: Oracle and Microsoft Access linked tables.

Contract through PDS Technical Services; developed and implemented a ColdFusion based application that monitors revisions and status on engineering drawing files; database: Microsoft SQL Server.

Contract through EDS; Provided program management augmentation to Microsoft Corporate Finance - Fixed Assets group during the implementation phase of AssetLink 2.0 - an enterprise asset tracking and reporting application. Responsible for business data analysis, research, troubleshooting XML data feeds, data quality assurance, SDLC documentation, bug tracking and resolution (Product Studio), user acceptance testing (UAT), and roll out support.

Contract-to-perm through Two Degrees Consulting; Responsible for gathering and documenting requirements and technical specifications, designing data and reports delivery solutions (Business Objects universes & client reports), implementing database automation and recovery, and providing ad hoc administration support. During the implementation phase of the Commercial data mart initiative, became acting manager when the VP left the department in 2004. Developed innovative ETL solutions for data staging, cleansing, transformations, validation, auditing, and synchronization; and solved many issues regarding overall system performance. Maintained and extended the web-based metrics dashboard. Technologies included Microsoft SQL Server 2000 (DTS packages and Reporting Services design and delivery), Active Server Pages (ASP), and Business Objects universe and reports development.

Direct contract; Design, development, testing, debugging, and documentation of mission-critical web-based auction application. Administered the ColdFusion 5 server, the Apache web server, and the MySQL databases all running on the Sun Solaris 8 server platform. Performed extensive scripting in SQL, CFML, and JavaScript; and designed an innovative automated reporting application that streamlined the pre and post sales business processes.

Provided technical management, development, and support at Boeing SSG and Internal Audit groups. Performed software implementation for two large COTS packages; and worked on data systems integration, data modeling, cost-benefit analysis, and documentation deliverables. Designed or extended custom reporting solutions (Crystal Reports 8) that resulted in significant time savings for the Internal Audit group. Promoted to CIBER field manager role in April 2001. Technologies used were Microsoft SQL Server 2000 for OLAP, Macromedia ColdFusion (for Internal Audit application), and extensive Crystal Reports development.

Contract through TEKsystems; Served in a technical and business analyst role for proprietary newspaper ad insertion management software sponsored by Heidelberg Finishing. Managed and led the implementation and end user training sessions at three major newspaper sites (New York, Chicago, and Las Vegas). Other responsibilities included data migration, SQL scripting, and documentation. Database server platform was Microsoft SQL Server 6.5. This is where I first learned SQL and how to install and administer a database server.

Contract projects thru Wasser and Sakson & Taylor Onsite; supported the User Education and Worldwide Operations groups. Tier 1 support response and issue tracking using Congo; intranet content updates (HTML and ASP) and PowerPoint deck design work.
